About Calcumetryx

Calc for calculation, metryx for measurement. It is a horizontal calculator brand — construction is where it starts, not where it ends.

What this is

Calcumetryx is a free calculator platform, currently focused entirely on construction and earthwork quantities — excavation volumes, trench sections, truck loads, land areas, and the costs that follow from them. They are free to use, there is no account, and nothing you type leaves your device.

Construction is the first vertical, not the only one. The brand is deliberately horizontal — a home for accurate calculators generally — and it expands into a new subject only once keyword research and search behaviour justify it, the same discipline that decides which individual calculator gets built next inside construction.

Why it exists

The calculators that currently rank for this kind of work are mostly two decades old. Forms that fight you on a phone. Results dumped into greyed out text boxes. Formulas hidden. And, worst of all, confident national averages for prices that vary by a factor of five between one county and the next.

We thought the same job could be done properly: a tool that is fast, works with a glove on, explains its geometry with a drawing that responds to your numbers, shows every line of arithmetic, and is honest about the difference between what it can compute and what only you can know.

How it is paid for

Advertising. The tools are free and there is no premium tier. Ads sit in fixed positions below the finished calculator and between sections of supporting content — never inside the controls, never between an input and its result, and never dressed up to look like a button.

The rules we work to

  • No invented prices. Ever.
  • Every formula visible, with your numbers substituted in.
  • Exact unit conversions, never rounded constants.
  • A calculator only ships if it answers a question the others do not.
  • Assumptions and limitations stated on every tool.

The full version of that list, with the maths, is on how we calculate.

Corrections

If a result looks wrong, we want to know immediately — a formula error on a tool like this can cost somebody real money. Report it here.
