InSite Elevation Pro pricing and review
What InSite charges for Elevation Pro as its own price sheet prints it, the terms that come with it, what its help pages and its users add, and the figures other sites print. Research only: nobody at Calcumetryx has used Elevation Pro.

InSite prints its price. Its Elevation Pro price sheet, a PDF linked from its Price Sheet page and read in full on 29 September 2026, prints one price: $3900, billed annually, for one concurrent user with installation on up to two machines, marked “Price effective 10.17.24”. The first year is billed annually, renewal may then be billed monthly or annually, and subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled within 30 days’ notice. The Price Sheet page, re-read on 1 October 2026, lists support seven days a week, unlimited training, video tutorials and software updates as included; a three-day classroom course costs $1500. InSite offers live demos and a self-guided tour; none of its pages read mentions a free trial, but one that might could not be read, so a trial is neither confirmed nor ruled out.
Capterra, Software Advice and SoftwareConnect print the same $3,900 a year without the terms; SelectHub prints $1,740 a year and SoftwareFinder says the price is custom, and InSite’s own pages contradict both. On Software Advice and Capterra, which each list 206 reviews, the most frequent praise is for how quickly the program is learned and for its support; the complaints that recur are slow work from PDFs that are not in vector form, occasional bugs and freezes, and reports and tools that are hard to adjust. On Software Advice’s first page, 22 of the 25 reviews say the reviewer was invited to write one. Nobody at Calcumetryx has used Elevation Pro: this page is research, and the lines below say what it rests on.

+−What each line covered, and when
- Vendor documentation researched: Yes
- Read on 1 October 2026 on insitesoftware.com, all public without an account: the FAQ, System Requirements, Cloud Licensing, Support, Training and Release History pages, the Video Help page and an article on installing updates. The PDF manual is inside the software, and a 2022 cloud-licensing PDF was not downloaded, so neither was read.
- Pricing researched: Yes
- The price sheet (PDF) was read in full on 29 September 2026; documents are not downloaded again for these pages. On 1 October 2026 the Price Sheet page that links it was re-read: it still links the same file and, by the vendor’s sitemap, has not changed since 28 September 2026. The FAQ, Cloud Licensing, Training and Classroom Training pages were read the same day. Five figures printed on other sites were checked against them, below.
- User sentiment researched: Yes
- Read on 1 October 2026: the first page of reviews on Software Advice, the first two on Capterra (25 reviews a page) and the 11 on SoftwareFinder. G2 refused automated access (HTTP 403) and Reddit could not be fetched, so neither was read, including a Reddit thread whose title, as Google showed it, says its author worked for InSite.
- Hands-on tested: No
- Nobody at Calcumetryx has installed or used Elevation Pro. InSite offers live demos and a self-guided tour, and watching a demo is not using the product.
- Expert workflow tested: No
- No estimator has run a real takeoff through Elevation Pro for this page.

The company
InSite’s About page says “InSite Software is a privately held and independently owned USA company.” It gives the headquarters as Rochester, New York, from where, it says, it provides support “seven days a week”.
Elevation Pro and SiteWork
The Cloud Licensing page says “Insite SiteWork is no longer sold.” InSite’s page on SiteWork says technical support for it ended on 31 December 2023, calls Elevation Pro “a ground-up rewrite that takes 30+ years of experience and merges it with the latest software development techniques”, and says “We will work with Subscribers to migrate them to Elevation Pro.”
Who it is for
The FAQ: “InSite Elevation Pro is a tool for experienced estimators who have either done takeoff by hand using grid or average end methods or used other computerized systems”, and “knowledge of estimating grading and excavation and previous takeoff experience is required.”
Surfaces and exports
The FAQ answers the question “Why does InSite Elevation Pro use triangulation for surface modeling?”, and the Benefits page lists “Export to PDF, DWG, Google Earth, spreadsheets, and bidding applications.” and “Build detailed GPS models compatible with all machine control systems.”
Who owns it
Privately held: InSite describes itself as “a privately held and independently owned USA company”, with headquarters in Rochester, NY.
The price, as the vendor states it
- Elevation Pro, annual subscription$3900, billed annuallyOne concurrent user; installation on up to two machines
The vendor publishes an Elevation Pro subscription price sheet as a PDF, linked from its Price Sheet page; its Cloud Licensing page links to that Price Sheet page. The sheet was downloaded and read in full on 29 September 2026. It prints one price: $3900, billed annually, for one concurrent user with installation on up to two machines. It is dated on its face, “Price effective 10.17.24”, and whether that is still the price today was not checked anywhere else. The first year is billed annually, and the sheet states that renewal may be billed monthly or annually at the current published rate.
As the sheet states it: the first year is billed annually; renewal may be billed monthly or annually at the current published rate; subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled within 30 days’ notice before renewal; unpaid subscriptions may be suspended or cancelled. The subscription includes unlimited live training, new-user training, a manual and training videos, 7-day-a-week support (holidays excluded), major updates and new features, and “no add-on fees”.

The sheet’s one price covers one concurrent user with installation on up to two machines; the Cloud Licensing page describes the same “one concurrent user and two installations”.
Cloud Licensing — InSite SoftwareAdd-ons
The price sheet, as read on 29 September 2026, says “no add-on fees”.
Elevation Pro price sheet (PDF) — InSite Software

Classroom Training — InSite Software
More concurrent users and installations
The Cloud Licensing page says they are available, with support, training and updates, and links to the Price Sheet page for pricing; the sheet, as read on 29 September 2026, prints one price, for one license.
Cloud Licensing — InSite SoftwareMonthly renewal
The sheet, as read on 29 September 2026, says renewal after the first year may be billed monthly or annually, and prints only the annual price.

Other prices and terms, in the vendor’s own words (5)
What the subscription includes
The Price Sheet page lists what the “Annual subscription includes:” “7-day a week support”, “Unlimited training”, “Video tutorials” and “Software updates”. It prints no figure itself: the price is on the sheet it links under “View Elevation Pro subscription pricing”. By the vendor’s sitemap, the page was last modified on 28 September 2026.
Support and updates
Asked “Do I have to pay for technical support?”, the FAQ answers: “Technical support and software updates are included with an active subscription of Elevation Pro. Subscribers must also have completed Elevation 101 training to be eligible for technical support.”
Training included
The Training page says “Your subscription includes unlimited training for you and your team” and “Elevation 101 is required for all new users.” Elevation 101 is a live class that “is 1 hour long”, given “1:00pm – 2:00pm ET every Monday through Thursday”. The FAQ adds: “Every new license includes free live online training”.
Classroom training
The Classroom Training page prints “$1500. (Includes breakfast, snacks, beverages and lunch for both days)” for a three-day course in Rochester, NY (6 to 8 October 2026) or Boston, MA (27 to 29 October 2026). It says “This is not a beginner class.”, that “Classes require a minimum of 10 students”, and that “Cancellations made 10 days or less will receive a 50% refund.”
More users
The Cloud Licensing page: “Each additional purchased license adds one concurrent user and two new installations.” and “Additional concurrent users and installations, which include technical support, training, and software updates are available.” For pricing it links to the Price Sheet page; it prints no figure itself.
Free trial or free version
Not checked. One InSite page that might describe a trial could not be read: capterrademo.insitesoftware.com, a subdomain of the vendor’s site, failed to open a secure connection (a TLS handshake failure) on both tries on 1 October 2026. The other InSite pages read that day offer live demos and a self-guided tour, and none of them mentions a free trial: the home page, the Demo Request, Watch The Demo, FAQ, Training, Cloud Licensing, Price Sheet and Benefits pages, and the demo landing pages at elevationpro.insitesoftware.com and ironprosdemo.insitesoftware.com. A search of insitesoftware.com for “trial” found no trial page. Until that subdomain is read, a free trial is neither confirmed nor ruled out; what directories say about one is listed with the figures below.
Demos and a self-guided tour
The FAQ: “To immediately see Elevation Pro in action, take our self-guided product tour.” The tour is the Benefits page, which says “Start with this self-guided tour, or schedule a one-on-one demo for a personalized walkthrough.” Live demos are booked by phone or on the Demo Request page, and a Watch The Demo page offers a demonstration in exchange for contact details.
Thirty days offline is not a trial
The 30 days on the Cloud Licensing page are how long an activated license keeps working without an internet connection: “An activated license of Insite Elevation Pro or SiteWork will operate without an Internet connection for 30 days and will count as an activated license whether used or not.” None of the pages read calls this a trial.
What the documentation shows
Read in the vendor’s public help pages, which go further than its product and pricing pages: how the product is installed and run, and how a feature works in practice.

Windows 11, not a virtual machine
The System Requirements page asks for the “Latest production desktop version of 64-bit Microsoft Windows 11.” and says “Virtual Machines are not supported” and “Windows Server, Windows on ARM, and Windows Insider Dev/Beta channels are not supported.” It says “InSite is an engineering application and is hardware and graphics intensive”, needing 3D graphics and computing power like those of high-end gaming systems. The FAQ: “We do not allow installations on older versions of Windows.”
Support depends on training and the latest version
The Support page: “Technical support is available to all Elevation Pro subscribers who have completed the Elevation 101 training.” It gives support hours of “7-days a week 8am-10pm Eastern Time (US)”, with live telephone support on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern. The FAQ: “The latest Elevation Pro version is required for support eligibility.” An article on updates puts it as “The most current version is the only supported version.”
Manual, video lessons and releases
The Video Help page says its Elevation lessons “follow the same outline and content as the PDF manual found in the HELP menu of the software”. The Release History page lists releases from “2020.0.30 (March 2020)” to “2026.2.34 (September 2026)”, several a year.
The requirements, in the vendor’s own sentences (1)
One user at a time, on two machines
The Cloud Licensing page: “A single user cloud license of InSite Elevation Pro or SiteWork includes one concurrent user and two installations, allowing InSite to be installed on two different machines.” While one machine is using the license the other cannot; exiting with an internet connection releases it, unless that option is unchecked. The page also says “Software installation requires an Internet connection.”
- The PDF manual the Video Help page refers to is inside the software’s Help menu, so it was not read.
- The FAQ links a cloud-licensing PDF from 2022 (InSite-Cloud-License-2022.pdf). Documents are not downloaded for these pages, so it was not read; the Cloud Licensing web page was read instead.
What users report
Read on 1 October 2026: the first page of Elevation Pro reviews on Software Advice and the first two pages on Capterra, 25 reviews a page, dated February 2019 to April 2026 and about half of them from February and March 2026; and the 11 reviews on SoftwareFinder, all from 2022. Software Advice and Capterra both list 206 reviews, and many appear on both sites under the same title. On Software Advice’s first page, 22 of the 25 reviews carry a line saying the reviewer was invited to write it, 20 of them by the software vendor. The most frequent praise is for how quickly the program is learned and for its support. The complaints that recur are slow work from PDFs that are not in vector form, occasional bugs and freezes, and reports and tools that are hard to adjust. These are reviewers’ reports, not findings: nobody at Calcumetryx has used Elevation Pro, and no site’s star average is repeated here.
Points several reviewers make
Most reviewers find it quick to learn and fast for earthwork takeoff, and several use its 3D view to check a takeoff.
Software AdviceCapterraSoftwareFinder
Support answers quickly, including evenings and weekends, and several reviewers name it as what they like most.
Software AdviceCapterraSoftwareFinder
PDFs that are not in vector form, and badly drawn CAD files, slow the work: contours or linework are not picked up, and entering the data takes a long time.
Software AdviceCapterraSoftwareFinder
The program has occasional bugs, glitches, lag or freezes.
Software AdviceCapterra
Reports, the cut-and-fill map and some tools are hard to adjust or limited, and reviewers list specific features they miss.
Software AdviceCapterraSoftwareFinder
Price: most who mention it call it good value for what it does; two say the price is high or could come down a little, while still calling it worth it.
Software AdviceCapterra
Some find it intimidating at first or slow to master; the vendor’s classes and videos are credited with helping, though two who took a class wanted it to be longer.

Where the reviews were read, and what each site discloses
- Software AdviceThe site says: “When our advisors match you to a software provider, we may earn a referral fee.” Of the 25 reviews on the first page, 20 carry the line “This reviewer was invited by the software vendor to submit an honest review”, three of them followed by “and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you”; two say “This reviewer was invited by us to submit an honest review and offered a nominal incentive as a thank you.”; and three say “This review was submitted organically. No incentive was offered”.
- CapterraThe page says reviews are “moderated by our Reviews Verification team”. Neither reviews page showed a label about invited or incentivized reviews in the text read, but Capterra’s product page for Elevation Pro, read the same day, labels several of the recent reviews it shows “Vendor Referred” or “Vendor Referred - Incentive Offered”. Many reviews on the second page are on Software Advice under the same reviewer and title, where most carry the vendor’s invitation line. Capterra refuses automated browsers, so these labels and counts rest on fetch-tool reads.
- SoftwareFinderAll 11 are dated June to November 2022, so they describe the program as it was then. The page says “All reviews are from verified customers” and showed no label about invited reviews in the text read.
Public reviews on Software Advice and Capterra, each listing 206, and on SoftwareFinder (11, from 2022), read 1 October 2026. Most recent read: 1 October 2026.
Figures other sites print, checked against the vendor
Three of these match InSite’s price and two contradict it. Each was read on 1 October 2026 and set against InSite’s price sheet, which prints one price, $3900, billed annually, for one concurrent user with installation on up to two machines, effective 17 October 2024. The sheet was read on 29 September 2026; the Price Sheet page that links it, re-read on 1 October 2026, had not changed since 28 September by the vendor’s sitemap. The three that match leave out the terms that go with the price, and the directories that say a free trial is available are not backed by any InSite page read.

SelectHub · Software comparison site: AGTEK vs InSite Software
ContradictedUnder the row “Price Starts From”: “$1,740” “Annually”, beside “Free Trial is available”
Against the vendor: Contradicts InSite’s price sheet, which prints one price, “$3900, billed annually”, effective 17 October 2024 (read 29 September 2026). The InSite pages read offer live demos and a self-guided tour and mention no free trial; one InSite page that might, on a subdomain named capterrademo, could not be read.

The date is the page’s own “Last Updated” line. The same page lists Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and Chromebook under “Platforms Supported” for InSite, with “24/7 Live Support”; InSite’s system requirements name only 64-bit Windows 11, and its support page gives support hours of 8am to 10pm Eastern Time, seven days a week.

Contradicted“Starting Price” “Custom”, and in its FAQ: “Elevation Pro is sold as subscription. Contact the company for pricing details.”
Against the vendor: Contradicts InSite’s own pages: its FAQ answers “How much does InSite Elevation Pro cost?” with a link to its Price Sheet page, and that page links a sheet that prints “$3900, billed annually”.

The date is the page’s own “Last Updated” line. The 11 user reviews it shows are dated June to November 2022.
Capterra · Software directory: InSite Elevation Pro profile
Partly matches“Starting price” “$3,900” “Flat Rate, Per Year”, with “Free trial”
Against the vendor: Partly confirmed. The figure matches the sheet’s “$3900, billed annually”, but the page gives none of the sheet’s terms: one concurrent user with installation on up to two machines, the first year billed annually, automatic renewal and the date the price took effect. The InSite pages read offer live demos and a self-guided tour and mention no free trial; one InSite page that might, on a subdomain named capterrademo, could not be read.

The InSite pages read offer live demos and a self-guided tour and mention no free trial; one InSite page that might, on a subdomain named capterrademo, could not be read.
Source it names, dates and notes
The site says: “When our advisors match you to a software provider, we may earn a referral fee.” Its address still says “sitework”, the InSite program that InSite’s Cloud Licensing page says “is no longer sold”.

What to ask on the demo
Questions the published material leaves open, drawn from the pages above. The answers change the number you will pay or what you will get for it.
- The price sheet is marked “Price effective 10.17.24”: is $3900 a year still the price of a new subscription, and what rate will apply at our first renewal?
- What does each additional concurrent user cost? The Cloud Licensing page says more users and installations are available and sends you to the Price Sheet page, and the sheet prints one price, for one license. Is there a discount for several?
- After the first year, what is the monthly rate if we renew monthly? The sheet allows monthly renewal but prints only the annual price.
- Is there a trial license, or only demos? No InSite page read describes a trial, while Capterra, Software Advice and SelectHub say a free trial is available.
- Our plans often come as scanned PDFs: will you run a takeoff on one of ours during the demo? Several reviewers report slow work when a PDF is not in vector form.
- Support requires Elevation 101 and the latest version: how soon after purchase can each estimator take the class, and what do you advise when an update arrives in the middle of a bid?
- Will our computers qualify? The requirements call for a 13th-generation Intel Core i7 or newer (or the Core Ultra and Ryzen equivalents), recommend 32 GB of memory and rule out virtual machines: does that also rule out a remote desktop or hosted Windows?
- Which file formats do you write for the machine-control systems on our fleet? The site names Topcon, Trimble, CAT, Leica and Komatsu, and one reviewer reports no direct export for the Trimble file type they needed.
